COMPANY HISTORY IN DETAIL

The company was formally registered on the 27th of September 1944 but remained dormant until July 1954 when it commenced trading jointly under Mr T.G.Goss and Mr E.T.Goss. Mr T.G.Goss was a Chartered & Corporate Accountant, with many years experience in the industry as Managing Director of one of the leading spring companies in the South of England. Mr E.T.Goss was an Engineering Graduate who had terminated a period of commissioned service with the engineering branch of the Royal Airforce.

The Company commenced trading with a small factory of 5,000 square feet in the Wingate Trading Estate in Tottenham and enlisted a team of qualified and skilled personnel experienced in the specialised production of small strip and wire components. It rapidly expanded its activities over the initial years and very soon found that additional factory space was needed. In 1960 they acquired a further 7,500 square feet of space in a factory in Raven Road South Woodford, and at that time the production was split with the precision press work in Tottenham and the spring work being carried out in Woodford.

Further expansion was made in 1963 when the company acquired another 10,000 square feet of factory space at the Wingate Trading Estate in Tottenham. This enabled them to expand the toolroom and presswork side of the business already on this site.

The company was still expanding at a fairly rapid level and both Mr T.G.Goss and Mr E.T.Goss actively sought the acquisition of much larger premises to combine all of the existing units together to form one unit. In 1968 the company acquired the present freehold premises at Fulbourne Road, Walthamstow, and over a period of months the various units from Woodford andTottenham were installed in the new 65,000 Square feet premises at Walthamstow.

In the latter part of 1971 Mr T.G.Goss died and Mr E.T.Goss assumed the roles of Chairman and Managing Director. The company set about a policy of pursuing the ideals of high technology, with large investments in international computer aided machinery to keep the company in the forefront of industry.
